Kotappakonda Tirunalla

Kotappakonda Tirunalla is one of the most celebrated religious festivals in Andhra Pradesh, held annually during the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri at the sacred hill shrine of Sri Trikoteswara Swamy Temple. The festival attracts lakhs of devotees from across the state and neighboring regions who gather to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.

The temple, situated atop the scenic Kotappakonda Hill, is renowned for its spiritual significance and rich cultural heritage. During the Tirunalla, the entire hill and surrounding areas come alive with vibrant decorations, devotional music, cultural performances, and religious ceremonies. Devotees participate in special poojas, abhishekams, and night-long prayers dedicated to Lord Trikoteswara Swamy.

A major highlight of the festival is the grand procession of beautifully decorated Prabhalu (tower-like structures), which are carried by devotees from various villages.
